This is our first longer retreat incorporating intensive Nei Gong practice with covering the foundations of sitting practice. The length of the retreat will allow for immersion in a retreat setting.

For a while I have wanted to incorporate more sitting practice after doing some intensive Nei Gong, as it’s so big a part of my practice and enables the absorption of various practices we do in what I believe to be a very beneficial way.

We will use the tools of Hunyuan, Dragon Dao Yin and, if the weather permits, Ping Heng Gong. All this alongside a number of sits a day. The end of the retreat falls on a Full Moon so we will end with a Full Moon ceremony with the shrine for those who are interested. This is of course not remotely obligatory

These days will give us an opportunity to dive deep into the theory and practice of Dao Yin.  We will draw practices from the Dragon Dao Yin set as well as using the purging practices with trees.

Be ready to sweat a bit, laugh a lot, and clear up your energy system and channels for Springtime.

These days will allow us to explore many of the women specific practices of the Lotus Nei Gong syllabus.  These practices are important for women alongside, not instead of, our regular level 1 syllabus.

We will cover work with the moon, spine, theory specific to women, and exercises to open and nourish the heart.

The Hunyuan Qi Gong set we work with in the school moves a practitioner deeply into the interior of their training, into working directly with the Dan Tian and bringing the practitioner into a state of deeper and deeper internal listening and release. This skill is vital to develop if a person wishes to move beyond the surface levels of their training.
