Sophie Johnson ‘Nei Gong’ Retreats 2020
This course will be in Cork, Ireland
Nei Going is a transformational process of change initiated within the forms of QI Gong. We use a variety of tools to awaken, circulate, and build the Qi of the body. Students are systematically led through this process in order to facilitate profound internal change. We will be working through the level one syllabus of Lotus Nei Gong International as developed and taught by Damo Mitchell.

We will have 4½ days to explore in some depth the mantra and single syllable sound work from the Official Lotus Nei Gong syllabus. We will be using a combination of Jing Gong (standing postures) and sound work to awaken various energetic areas of the body - to open and initiate internal vibration along various pathways. Alongside this we will utilise various exercises to support the opening and release through the spine so that the 'stirring' aspect of the sound work can clear out.
The Dragon Dao Yin where developed from the Bagua Zhang internal art. They are specifically designed to purge pathogens from the spine and associated channels, improve spinal issues and health.
These days will allow us to explore many of the women specific practices of the Lotus Nei Gong syllabus. These practices are important for women alongside, not instead of, our regular level one syllabus.
After the foundation stages have been laid down we need need to cultivate the inside of the body to be in alignment with the development of the energy work. In Lotus Nei Gong we have various methods to assist this process which we will be exploring in some detail during this retreat. This will enable you to progress your training at what ever stage you are to condition the body in the precise way necessary to open the channels.
This longer retreat will incorporate intensive Nei Gong practice with covering the foundations of sitting practice. The length of the retreat will allow for immersion in a retreat setting.
